Stacy spent the last 18 years as an educator before transitioning to an ADHD Coach and Advocate in 2021.  Her experiences range from teaching in a classroom setting, a Reading Specialist, and as an Instructional Coach. She has worked alongside kids and adults during her time in education.  As a classroom teacher, Stacy worked with a diverse range of learning styles.  It was while working in the classroom that she quickly recognized her passion to provide best practices, support and advocate for students who had disabilities and/or behavioral problems. As a Reading Specialist, she was able to observe how disabilities impact reading growth and provided direct instruction to support kids who were struggling. As an Instructional Coach, Stacy worked directly with teachers to better understand their students’ academia, identify areas that needed support, and assisted with setting up specific plans for both behavioral and academic areas. Her experiences within education are what inspired her to make the natural transition to an ADHD Coach. Her goal is to help both children and adults (with ADHD) thrive by educating and transforming challenges into accomplishments. 

Stacy’s experience as an educator working within the MTSS process has positioned Stacy to be well versed in the school systems and has a solid understanding of what should be in place for students who are struggling with ADHD (and other challenges). Her commitment to each family is unique to that of any other. Stacy collaborates well with schools as she knows how to guide appropriate conversations while advocating for what is best for each individual child. She is passionate, dedicated, and will be your biggest supporter throughout your time working with her.

As a mother of two and an adult with ADD (inattentive) herself, Stacy faced the challenges many parents are faced with. Her two children, both with significant needs, helped her uncover her passion for educating her children and husband on their needs/behaviors. She created the necessary change in her household to support her various needs of each family member, while educating extended family and friends on challenges of ADHD. She advocated in the school system by consistently holding timely conversations/meetings with educators (on a regular basis)to discuss challenges that were presenting and provide appropriate support parallel of the school system. 

Stacy knows first hand the struggles which moms diagnosed with ADHD deal with. The challenge of working full time and taking care of the family, the house, the errands, etc can be overbearing at times. It’s hard to manage all of this and manage your own daily struggles with ADHD at the same time. Stacy has become passionate about supporting other moms who are trying to balance it all at the same time.

When Stacy isn’t coaching or advocating, she is spending time with her husband, two children, and dog. They spend their time outdoors, working on puzzles or LEGO sets, or on the ice at the Glenview Ice Rink. Stacy likes to wind down with reading books, binging Netflix shows, and creating fun projects with her cricut for herself, friends, and family.
